When the Fire Came

Painting

I've had the opportunity to paint a variety of murals throughout the years and unfortunately have few photos left. Watercolor is currently my favorite although I am trained in acrylic and oils.

When the Fire Came

When the Fire Came

In December of 2017 the Thomas Fire hit the Ventura/Santa Barbara area fierce and hard. Hearts were devastated over the loss and many people left the area. I left for Santa Cruz and while there painted this in watercolor thinking of how powerful and beautiful nature is. This is 11x15” and available in my shop- click here.

The Way I saw It

The Way I saw It

With Watercolor, I painted this the way I saw it knowing it would be different next time. I was in Oregon hiking any and every trail and mountain I could find. This is 11x15” and available in my shop- click here.

Helen's Is Steaming

Helen's Is Steaming

June of 2017 was the first time I had the amazing opportunity to hike Mt St Helens on a full moon. I painted this the day of before leaving for the trek with watercolors. It is 11x15” and available in my shop- click here.

It Changes Every Time

It Changes Every Time

I painted this summer of 2017 while road tripping through the west coast. Nature changes every time you come back to it. It is painted with watercolors and inked on top. The size is 11x15” and can be found in my shop- click here.

Lama Dog Mural

Lama Dog Mural

This is a large mural I designed and painted for Lama Dog Tap Room + Bottle Shop. I drew it free hand on the wall based off of my designs. This is a mix of acrylic and spray paint.

Experience Nature

Experience Nature

My idea of a secret forest with all of my favorite things. This is a watercolor painting on 11x15” watercolor paper. I painted it while lounging in a canoe on the edge of Banks Lake in Washington. A beautiful site. You can find this in my shop by clicking here.

Rediscover

Rediscover

Body image. It has become such a wide subject and as I still haven’t found where I land in this topic, I deeply love the human figure. I went to a Figure Drawing school in the early 2000s and easily forget how precious drawing the figure can be. This is based off a real model and is drawn with conté crayons with watercolor embellishments. You can find this in my shop by clicking here.

Lama Dog A Frame

Lama Dog A Frame

Here is an A Frame board I made and painted for Lama Dog. I free handed the design on the board before painting.

Nice Glass

Nice Glass

I worked for Trader Joe's as an artist from 2002-2007. I worked at a variety of stores and this is a painted mural for a store in Tacoma, Washington. I don't know if it is still up but this was based on the Chihuly Glass Museum in Tacoma. This is hand painted by me with acrylic paint.

Audrey

Audrey

This is a 30x40" oil painting of Audrey Hepburn.

Union Station

Union Station

I worked for Trader Joe's as an artist from 2002-2007. I worked at a variety of stores and this is a painted mural for a store in Tacoma, Washington. I don't know if it is still up but this was based on a sculpture in downtown Tacoma at the Union Station. This is hand painted by me with acrylic paint.

Free Love

Free Love

This is a quick free hand painting that I did on the spot at an outdoor event on an air stream. It was washed off but still fun.

Body Painting

Body Painting

I used to body paint a lot (I still like doing it) and this was at a Chocolate and Art show in LA in 2010.

Another body painting photo. I always free hand when body painting. This was at a solo show I had in Santa Barbara.

Emma

Emma

This was a commissioned painting I was hired to paint off of a photo of a friend's dog. It was accomplished with acrylic paint.

Guitar

Guitar

A large handful of years ago I had the lovely opportunity to paint this guitar for a friend. He asked me to do it and gave me loose direction.

Northwest Soil Mural

Northwest Soil Mural

This was a freehand mural I painted on the wall for Northwest School of Innovative Learning almost 10 years ago. The space was tight so an angled photo was what I could capture. I painted 3 murals for them.

Hat

Hat

I was commissioned to paint a handful of baseball caps. This ended up being a really fun job. This one is a mermaid tail in the surf.
