MOONdala

Watercolor

I leaned into watercolors later in life. They have helped me learn to let go of the outcome even though they reteach me this every time. I love the result of watercolors, the delicacy, the available saturation and transparency and how I can take them with me everywhere.

MOONdala

MOONdala

These might just be one of my favorites to design. This is a watercolor and ink piece. I freely paint the moons then freehand draw the mandalas around the moons. This process is extremely meditative and continues to teach me that expectations are a premeditated disappointment as watercolor is an uncontrollable medium.

Iridescent MOONdala

Iridescent MOONdala

This is a watercolor and ink piece freehanded by me. I’m in love with this process and also love the result. These have become very popular and if you are curious about purchasing this click here.

Cycle

Cycle

This is another moondala. This time I freehand drew botanical bits around the moon. Watercolor and ink on 5.5x8.5” paper. This one is still available in my shop and you can check it out by clicking here. Everything is connected.

It Changes Each Time

It Changes Each Time

This was a freehand watercolor painting I painted while traveling summer of 2017. I drew in ink on top. Each time I go out into nature I walk away knowing that it won't be the same the next time I go. This wisdom I learned from my sister. This print is available in my shop!

The Way I saw Them

The Way I saw Them

This is a freehand watercolor painting on watercolor paper that I painted summer of 2017 while traveling. My travel consisted of mountains, water, camping and a lot of hiking. This print is available in my shop.

Helens is Steaming

Helens is Steaming

I painted this summer of 2017 the same day I hiked Mt St Helens during the full moon. I free handed this painting without looking at the mountain or the moon; purely from intuitive feelings about the hike to come. This print is available in my shop!

Rediscover

Rediscover

Body image is a battle for many. This is the start of a series that I am still currently working on. My intention and desire is to purely melt away negative body image. This was drawn with Conté Crayons and then watercolor painted. A live model was used and this print is available in my shop!

Woods

Woods

This is an original watercolor painting on watercolor paper I painted while sitting on the edge of Banks Lake in Washington summer of 2017. I was camping, kayaking and enjoying nature to the fullest. Once I finished painting I sketched with ink on top. This piece is currently available for purchase in my shop!

Inhale Exhale

Inhale Exhale

This is a quick painting I created with watercolors and it is freehand.

BB-8

BB-8

I was inspired by Star Wars I created this. You can find it in my shop if interested in owning this piece. It is watercolor and ink on watercolor paper. The paper is sewn onto a piece of fabric. Underneath that is decorative fine paper glued to a wood panel.
